Yup tats the word ive been trying to remember.
A word used so long ago tat ive forgotten all about it.
A term that truly describes how shitty i was.

Its like FUBAR.
Fucked Up Beyond All Reason.
Term used by those valiant war horses of WW2.
Not exactly a word, but has deeply valued meaning.

Dun noe exactly what it means actually.
Even up till today.
All i noe was tat i used it whenever i felt !@#$-ed.
When everything was shitty.
When it seems tat ive got no control over things.
Alwas when i was cranky.
When i was feeling..well shelebety.

Er, Jurong Institute tat is and not the other JI.
While i was doing my 3 months stint.
While i was still crowned 'Kokomo King'.
Haha..those were the days.
Carefree with naught to worry about.

Unlike now.

Another emo day for me.
Walked down from the workplace to Geylang Serai.
Straight after work.
On the dot, chop chop - without delay.
Can't wait any longer to stay cooped up in the office.
Like a bloody prison.

Duno if its the weather or fatigue or just plain Hunger,
But seems my mind cant function properly these days.
Been visiting past memories - haunting ones.
Cant able to plug it out of my mind man!!

Im so messed up.

Even the walk was pure torture.
Macam a lost boy.
Turn right i see couples.
Turn left i see couples.
Front and back too.
Arghhh...
Fate's been playing his cards well - mocking me it seems.
Not now Fate.

Not today, yesterday nor tomorrow.

The only respite was meeting up wif my fellow Army bros.
Hohoho...we realised one thing as we sat there,
That even though everyone at the tabe haf a Diploma,
Only ONE, yes ONE, who actually had a job related to it.

Lay of Recluse

So long.
So long it has been since ive spent my weekend out with friends.
In the company of those who could make me smile, laugh and joke.
In the company of whom I could release the tension that had been bottled up in me.
Trading jokes, stories and the occasional friendly insults.
A refreshing change in quite a long while.

Instead of being cooped up at home.
Being all broody and morose.
Lamenting on how lonesome ive found myself into.
Letting the melancholy permeating through my inner self.
Wallowing in self-pity and despair.

Its been awhile since ive the opportunity to smile and laugh.
To again put on my mask.
A façade of cheer and joy.
Of being entirely someone else.
Of being the shadow of my former lost past.
Of being the clown again to put a smile on their faces.
Projecting the air of unbridled care and wanton zealousness.
Of being somebody else – but me!

A Birthday In Seoul

Wah...so full!
Broke my fast at Seoul Garden today wif my NJRC refs.
And that was one HEAVY dinner man.
Still burping even till now.
Hahaha.

We also concurrently celebrated the birthdays of two lovely ladies.
Auww...look so sweet rite?
I meant the cake!
Hahah....yes we had a cake, a Mango Cheesecake to be exact!
Yummmy.
Sigh, why wasnt there any cake on my birthday??
Oh well...cant have it all rite?

Hmm had lots of fun just now.
Have not been laughing that much in quite sometimes now.
What a lovely bunch!

Why snail mail and not email??
Why manual instead of online??

Hmm why dun we give it a thought.
A kampung house and an HDB flat.
Both are places we live in.
Both provides shelter above our heads.
Both are places that we retreat to after a long day of work.
A place of solace to some of us.
A domain, a recluse.
But the diff??

Nostalgia.
Rustic nostalgia.

Call me old-fashioned.

Call me backwards...i dun care.
Call me traditional even.

But nothing,
And i mean nothing,
Beats the feeling of opening tat old rustic mailbox of mine and to find a letter.
Yes!
A letter!
Not some bills and spam!
That all too familiar worn out, rectangular piece of paper that haf my name written on it.
My name!!
Written lovingly and carefully by the kind and gracious sender.
Posted specially to urs truly.
Sigh.

Now tell me.
Do you get that same kind of feeling when u check ur emails?
I dun honestly.
The feeling of having a letter or card handwritten specially to u is so much more different than facing a monitor reading typed words.
Yes the content maybe the same but..its just too impersonal.
Like a shell without a soul.
Hahahah.

Err...can someone translate tat to English pls...i cant think right now.

So the aim is to send Hari Raya cards to as much bloggers as you can esp to those that you don't know personally.
So we can expand our network of frens even wider k.

And how it works is that those who wants to join, just gives me their addresses.
I will collect and collate and once the list is complete, i'll email to all those involve.

As an intro, this is a snail mail Hari Raya card exchange.
Yes..u actually haf to send out ur cards manually.
Hahaha.
Not online ya.
And since the list can be potentionally long, u are only obliged to send to the person listed above and below u in the mailing list.
And after that, if u wish, u can send out to anyone else u see fit.
Oh ya..the list will be randomly organised as to mix the people around ya.

Hari Raya Cards Anyone??

Lately i have been participating in a postcard exchange event in RBJ.
It is where fellow bloggers exchanged postcards with others from the RBJ community.
Regardless of where the bloggers are staying.
It is quite fun actually to receive these postcards.
Especially so from countries as far as Sweden!
And now they're just starting another exchange - this time around will be Christmas cards.

So i was thinking why don't we do the same here? Especially so since Hari Raya is coming.
We still have time actualy cos its just about under 3 weeks from today.
And if there need be person to collect and organise the contacts, i could volunteer myself.
And we could only use our nicks as i still appreciate a bit of anonymity.
And we could also restrict to those who currently haf blogs online.
Hehehe.

It is just an idea actually cos im dead bored at the moment.
And it is a good way to reach those who are abroad, seperated from their loved ones.
